I suppose I’m a writer now–a published one, at any rate. The distinctions between writer and author are many and fussy. The cats inform me that as long as I do not forget that I am still a cat-owner, and fulfill my duties in this regard, I can wibble about words and identity all I want.
Aphotic Ink is a place to write about the things that interest me. A lot of them are in something of a genre niche; horror movies and novels and video games and stories, crime fiction and forensics, the Cthulhu Mythos, weird tales, Weird Tales, post-apocalyptic settings, the occasional extremely amateur bout of gardening, steampunk, fairy tales, and genre TV series. Oh, and knitting.
 Seriously. I used to go to the local magazine store and pick up Doorways, Cemetery Dance, Realms of Fantasy, Horror Garage, maybe Rue Morgue, and an issue of Interweave. One of these things is not like the others…
